Music certifications in Italy weren't official until 2009, when the FIMI and GfK started a collaboration to monitor sales for each individual recording — in the past, gold and platinum records were awarded based on self-certifications by companies, and there was no official monitoring system available. Unfortunately, this means that some of Mariah's most successful albums and singles in the country have never received a proper and official sales certification.
As of 2026, Mariah has a two times Platinum album, Merry Christmas; a Multi-Platinum single, “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” which was certified five times Platinum in 2024; and two Gold singles: “O Holy Night” and “I Know What You Want.”
